Unknown hairlike fungus growing in a rodent bait station. I'm still trying to figure out what this organism is. I followed a trail suggesting the genus Phycomyces which led to a discussion of phylum Zygomycetes which left me more confused than when I started.

I think I've had the organism in your photo show up as a contaminant once, but as I had to leave my lab journal at my work when I left, I can't give you any details about it. I would be really interested to hear about it if you follow up on it.
