Exploring Clutteropolis

I went through several hundred photos just now, mostly from me and my dad's trips in 2001 and 2002.

My intention is to save a small number of them, and discard the rest. Of the ones I save I will probably select a few to share here and on facebook. The rest? I fantasize that I will leave them somewhere where an art student or compulsive archivist will find them, and give them a new life. Weird blurry faded old photos of a young man with a beard and an old man with an eyepatch, surrounded by palm trees, marine iguanas, and monkeys. Someone will treasure my discarded trash, right?

I was going through some dunes of stuff yesterday and found a stash of old photos. A lot of them were just not that good, or there were doubles. Not sure why, but I don't like the idea of people I don't know having them so I threw a bunch of them away. (I waited for some pangs of regret, but they never materialized.)
