Did somebody say "mundane?"

This is how street runoff makes its way to the ocean.



This shack was built around this palm, which has since out-grown the shack.



My brother was interested in seeing what the actual village on Easter Island looked like. I took this picture with that in mind. The soccer field is on the right, some restaurants on the left.



Every village needs a cemetary, but they don't all have a view of moai as a backdrop.




As we walked down the road, another loose horse came by. "Wait for me!"



Down here is the surf shop and the dive shop.



...Next to the Ahu and Moai, that is.



I clambered around on the black beach rocks.



We're at the most remote inhabited place on earth! How far to Vladivostok?



On second thought, I'd rather go to Aukland. (or our hotel--that's it in the background)
