Urban Nature Pictures 3/8


American crows. These two were part of group of six or eight that were harassing a red-tail.



This patch of snowdrops suddenly came up over the weekend. To my knowledge this plant is not naturalized in North America. This group of bulbs must have been part of a garden or landscaped area, but is now in a part of Franklin Park disused and strewn with trash.


I said yesterday that Charlie was standing on some of the last remaining ice in Boston. That was before I saw that Jamaica Pond (seen behind these joggers dressed for the mild weather) was still almost completely covered in ice.
