Revisiting a hornbill

I don't have much more to add to this, really. I believe this individual, with so much more white, is a female. I like these guys. They make an owl-like hooting sound, and are more gentle than the great Indian hornbills, from what I can tell. I like their Rod Stewart hairdos.
Edit: I am wrong. It is the male that has so much more white.

As little as I know about yesterday's animal, the Andean condor, I look like an expert on them compared to my knowledge of this bird. As it turns out, I'm not the only one--there is a paucity of information available about it. It lives in the tropical rainforests of the Malay archipelago and thereabouts, and is considered "near threatened," since its habitat is being chopped up. It can also be called the "white-crested hornbill," a name I rather prefer, but since that name is already being used for an African hornbill, this one loses out. Maybe we should go with the Dutch name, "Langkuifneushoornvogel." That just sort of rolls off the tongue.
