It was an uncommonly nice first day of spring (probably one of the 10 best days of the year) so I took Charlie on a longer walk than usual. This is our old friend The Muddy River, another mile or two downstream than you usually see it on my journal.

Charlie doesn't have a facebook account (but he does share a LiveJournal with Maggie).

The crocuses were WIDE OPEN but I still haven't seen any bees.

Later we went to Ward's Pond and parked near a neighbor who has a thing for wind chimes.

We have some weedy wild flowers, and have seen LOTS of bees, and interestingly, one butterfly.

Can't wait for leaves!

I love the windchime tree. I keep meaning to take my son over to see it.
