My dad visited last weekend. This photo shows us in Brookline, in front of the MATEP tower, but we spent most of the visit exploring Dedham Square.

We discovered the Museum of Bad Art, a place I've heard about for years, but finally experienced in real life! I recommend you do the same. Here you can see the motif is kind of like a men's room downstairs from a movie theater. If you plan to visit, it's easy to find! Just go to the Dedham Community Theater (warning: annoying FLASH intro) and head downstairs to the men's room. The cost of admission is just a few disappointed looks from the theater staff.
I gather they have an ever-growing and rotating collection, but here are just a few highlights:

Mariachi in Tiananmen square.

The Mushroom Eater (yes, I had to try to identify the mushrooms in this painting, but the interpretive notes--which are generally hilarious in this museum--had already done so).

Ferret in a brothel. I don't know why I like the "thing in a place it doesn't belong" paintings so much. Probably a key to my mental problems there, or at least my sense of humor.
