Here's a fellow zookeeper and I in traffic on 93 on the way back from the Gilmour Bike Ride. Thanks so much to those of you who donated! I was mopey at first, but got quite a few donations and I'm honored by your generosity. The money goes to a terrific scholarship program; most of the riders on my team are scholarship recipients.
Would you like to see the ride?

Here we are all gathered up! Lots more on our team than I expected! Woooo, team ZNE!

We're ready to go!

Off we go, into the wilds of Hollis New Hampshire!

Hollis is the very model of a quaint New England town, with little white steepled churches and whatnot.

Along the road are some beautiful sights: a little pond...

...horses...

...and a beautiful abandoned barn, crawling with Virginia creeper.

The faster wait for the less fast at the halfway point.

Once we all got back to home base, the Lawrence Barn, we got some food and hung out on the grass together.

Some of us got free massages!

The zoo sent educational staff with some animals to educate and entertain the people there. Here's Diego, the California king snake.

Another zookeeper who's off on maternity leave came to cheer us on and share her new baby!

Group picture of all the zoo staff present!
Next year: more zookeepers, and more miles on the bike!
