I was on my way to lead a nature walk this morning when I stopped at the zoo to pick up my camera. On the way out of the zoo I noticed a large flock of Canada geese across the street at the golf course.

We had a field north of our place where they would congergate(sp?) like that. It was so interesting. You could see smaller families or maybe they were flying clubs clumped here and there. These "clubs" would take off together and do a small go, or flight test before the big push!

The awesomeness of migration is a good reminder of how cut off and clueless I can let myself become stuck in my own species all the time.

Wow. What are they doing? Eating?

Eating. Hangin' out.

They like wide treeless places that resemble the Canadian tundra.
