I was on my way to lead a nature walk this morning when I stopped at the zoo to pick up my camera. On the way out of the zoo I noticed a large flock of Canada geese across the street at the golf course.

We are in Narsarsuaq, Greenland. Greenland isn't as bleak as you've been led to believe, at least not in Summer. "Welcome to sunny southern Greenland," has been a standard greeting here since the Americans built a military base here (at the Greelanders' request) in 1941. I can't explain what this park bench is for, but it does give you a nice view of the runway, if that's what you are into.

After many weeks, my computer is finally working the way I want it to. Thanks to Alexis' competence with a laptop, and some new RAM, my computer is back to full brain power. I have iPhoto, Photoshop, and Firefox all open PLUS iTunes, so I can fix my pictures, post them, and listen to the Savage Lovecast all at the same time. Doing any one of the three alone is too boring, but all together is perfect, and I can feel like I'm doing something productive as I listen.
Yes, this is still a blog about Urban Nature. Sorry that the next few pictures are not at all urban, but I think you'll like them anyway. Whatever you think of Wyoming, much of it is very beautiful. Here are some shots I took as my dad and I drove through Grand Teton National Park on our way to Jackson.

Just now catching up with my pictures from last Sunday! We went to Quincy Quarry, figuring that it was one of few open spaces that wouldn't be crowded on Memorial day weekend. We were sort of right...

Ferry panoramas
