3:00 snapshot #1189: Primates

Sometimes I'm the only primate around when the snapshot alarm goes off.




The ring-tailed lemurs are always good for a close-up.


Gigi likes to lean on the window, and sometimes she'll bless you with meaningful look. Gigi is the oldest gorilla at the zoo; she'll turn 41 this year I believe. She just outlived her first offspring, who died at another zoo.


A wistful look from Kimani, the second-youngest gorilla. I've watched her grow from The Baby to the middle child. She has a lot of personality, and I think, a distinctive face.


My favorite primate at the zoo, my zookeeper friend Kiki, mixing up some crane food.
