Lemurs and gorillas

This is Nebuchadnezzar (we call her Nebbie) all curled up to protect and groom her twins, born about an hour before the picture was taken. Don't get too excited, I got exactly zero pictures of the babies. But the rest of the pictures are pretty good, and there's a video of a gorilla doing something interesting too.




Another lemur looks on, enjoying a monkey biscuit.


Monkey biscuit? But I'm a prosimian!


Across the hall, Okie is agitated about something.

Okie is showing off for his friend Dayle, a zookeeper from Stone Zoo, who happened to visit that day.


After Dayle left, I tried to get a shot of Okie's contemplative expression.


Meanwhile Nebbie moved up closer to the front of her exhibit, but the babies were still out of sight.

Loved the video! Especially how Dayle is clearly enjoying Okie's behavior. I'd be a bit intimidated if an animal that size threw around a pot that size on the other side of a window, but I'm sure the glass is very strong, and her nerves as well.
