The weary travelers arrive
Aug. 16th, 2005 01:31 amWe are greeted at the airport by our guide, Dale, who turns out to be an impressive young archaeologist with boundless enthusiasm for the culture and history of Rapa Nui and the Rapanui people. He tells us we have tomorrow morning free, but that he'll take us on a half day tour in the afternoon. We stagger off with necklaces made of plant material on our aching stinking bodies.
