[Note: All temperatures stated in this complaint are in Fahrenheit]

Right now it is 7 degrees outside my house. According to the Weather Channel, it will reach a high of twenty-one. Tomorrow the high temperature forecast is 44. So the low temp today is 13 degrees lower than an average February low temp here. The high tomorrow is projected to be eight degrees higher than the average high. This is why New England weather drives people crazy. I'm pretty sure we should ignore these so-called "averages," since they are so much warmer and colder than the real temperatures.

[livejournal.com profile] belen1974, [livejournal.com profile] rockbalancer, [livejournal.com profile] cottonmanifesto, [livejournal.com profile] chaggie and I went on a hiking adventure at Mt. Misery, conservation land in Lincoln Massachusetts. I reasoned that away from the shore there was less icing, and so hiking would not be so difficult. It was, in fact, pretty strenuous. We also got lost, adding a couple miles to the hike, and ended up scaling the mountain (a tiny Massachusetts mountain, but hard to do anyway) and hiking through frozen swamps and along the Sudbury River. All the above lj people have posted pictures of the hike (or will soon, hint hint rockbalancer), and it might be fun for you to compare them.

To adventure!
