I doubt that anyone who might be reading this is a person who believes the bible is the literal truth (unlike, apparently more than half of the Americans surveyed. But if you felt like putting it to the test, or perhaps craved some self-contradictory information in case you need to blow up a logic-processing robot, here you go.

I believe it to be a compendium of folk legends from various cultures, containing some universal truths; but nonetheless a tool of patriarchal cultures to establish ethics and social order, and often to control women, in particular.

Not the sort of thing that a thinking being could embrace as truth.
