Mt. Auburn Cemetery predates Olmsted by just a few decades, but according to their website, the cemetery inspired the concept of public parks and botanical gardens. Presumably Olmsted visited and enjoyed Mt. Auburn.

It was a juvenile, trying to catch a squirrel. Here's another picture:

ah. i've seen that one once. (well, possibly that one - i suppose there could be multiple juveniles currently flitting about camberville.)

the one i've seen for the past three and a half years has a much whiter breast than the average eastern subspecies red-tail.
