Ferry panoramas

After some difficulty (remember to pack your proof of citizenship!--oh, and the first Monday of August is BC day) we boarded the ferry from Vancouver to Nanaimo, on Vancouver Island.




It's just a way to get yourself and your car from the mainland to the island, but boy, it sure is pretty enough to be a sightseeing tour of its own!



We didn't see any marine mammals, but did see some birds (common murres, and gulls mostly).

i've been there! so gorgeous, and you had good weather for it, too. although, those islands are even more beautiful in the rain.

Your whole trip there is making me want to go there. It's so beautiful, and the higher education system seems to be pretty accessible, too. I'll have to find out if they need peer advocates in BC/Vancouver.

And the people are really, *really* actually NICE. Not just polite because they have to be to tourists. Either that or they are all superb actors!

i think they're really nice. they're certainly nicer than they are in any other region i've lived in. if it's an act, then it's a full spectrum act.
