Victoria is a beautiful city with a beautiful harbor. My pictures seem really weird to me now. Some panoramas, some bizarre details (like yesterday's poppy on the train tracks). Behind the cut is a panorama of the harbor.
I think that's THE "Victoria" Hotel, the actual name of it. I was told it was VERY expensive, and serves High Tea. :-) W didn't bother to go tourist (as in, "go postal") there; we wanted to do mostly non-touristy things to get a feel for the city. When I lived in Manhattan, I never went to the Statue of Liberty or the Empire State Building except when friends from out of state or country came to visit and wanted to.
I spent about a month after our trip trying to convince the fiance we wanted to move to Victoria. He loved it there, but still isn't budging. :-

Date: 2006-08-15 03:23 pm (UTC)it doesn't seem that excessively pricey, but i'm used to hotel rooms costing a minimum of $175USD.
