After many weeks, my computer is finally working the way I want it to. Thanks to Alexis' competence with a laptop, and some new RAM, my computer is back to full brain power. I have iPhoto, Photoshop, and Firefox all open PLUS iTunes, so I can fix my pictures, post them, and listen to the Savage Lovecast all at the same time. Doing any one of the three alone is too boring, but all together is perfect, and I can feel like I'm doing something productive as I listen.
Yes, this is still a blog about Urban Nature. Sorry that the next few pictures are not at all urban, but I think you'll like them anyway. Whatever you think of Wyoming, much of it is very beautiful. Here are some shots I took as my dad and I drove through Grand Teton National Park on our way to Jackson.

Jackson is noted for many things, but the most impressive thing to me is a vast preserve in the city for protecting migratory elk (to maintain a population that can be sustainably hunted). Because there are thousands of elk there at the time of the year when antlers are shed, the city has thousands of shed antlers. What would you do with them? How about a series of arches around the central city park?

Date: 2008-08-31 03:13 am (UTC)What to do with antlers: I think they should make chairs and tables with them and sell them and give the proceeds to preservation of the critters.
All done.
