We wrote some stuff on the car with soap, and then drove around New Hampshire yesterday.
We've both donated money, but haven't done anything material for the campaign, and are feeling anxious, like we can't sit around and let the election just happen. What will driving around the nearest swing state in a car covered with slogans accomplish? No idea, but it made us feel a little better.

After meandering around for some time, we decided to get out and walk in Portsmouth. It was such a beautiful day: almost 70 degrees!

There's no place on Earth like a graveyard in New England in October.



Yellow lichens are very rare these days in Boston, but up in the relatively clean salt air of coastal New Hampshire, we found some nice patches of it.

An oriental bittersweet vine extends its fruit-laden tendrils high to where birds can safely feed on them.

Charlie had to closely investigate this car's decoration.

Date: 2008-10-27 12:03 pm (UTC)It was an incredibly nice day yesterday, and I spent some of it walking around Portsmouth with my brother. There were a handful of people in Market Square with Obama signs, and we noticed a bunch of obama stickers too. But we'll be voting in Maine and doing our part to turn Maine blue.. (at least the senate race in Maine seems like a no-brainer.. but if I had to vote in NH I don't know what I'd do..)
