Biology lesson from Cracked.com

They may swear a lot, but this article from Cracked.com is more entertaining and contains less misinformation than the average piece of science journalism.  Their "5 most hated creatures (don't deserve it)" even short circuits an article which I've never gotten around to writing: "WHY are mosquitoes?"

I find bees and wasps to be utterly fascinating creatures, but I'll squeal and run when I see one near me because they have nasty stingy things. *quivers in fear*

That corn rolodex metaphor sounds like a bit of an over simplification, and the rat thing is just wrong, from what i can tell. There has never been a case of rat-caused human rabies in the US but it has occurred rarely elsewhere.
