Now that the leaves have fallen, there are much more interesting views of the river. Unfortunately, I don't usually see them, since I go to work when it's still dark and the sun has pretty much set by the time I go home. Trying to make up for it today I guess.
I haven't done one in a while. They're always at 10:00 a.m., a compromise for people who don't want to get up early on a Sunday. I would do them at 8 if I had my druthers. A lot of the animals (especially birds) are more visible early in the morning. I'll definitely announce when we do our next walk.
Go to bed at 3? My goodness! I get up at 5 most mornings, so 3 a.m. means I've got two more hours to sleep! What's going on in those wee hours? I forget.
We're just night owls. I don't work, so I can follow my natural tendencies. My husband doesn't have to get to work until 10, and 5 hours is about all he sleeps anyway (except on weekends, when he can crash for 10). I know it's better to be awake more during daylight than night, and sometimes it does feel like the day gets away from me. But I've spent most of my life doing things according to other peoples' schedules and needs, so now that I'm currently not working it feels good to just let each day unfold as it will without trying to cram it into some shape that doesn't suit me.
Though I might manage a walk at 10 am sometime. Not promising. :-)
