I had a textbook about Animal Flight Mechanics in my wishlist for 2 years. It is a fantastic book with lots of color pictures, but the text could have used a better editor, or two, so it went out of print. Being the only dedicated book on it's subject, it became highly sought-after by us enginerds, and the price shot up into the hundreds.
Fast forward two years, and I bought it last week from a used bookstore in DC that sells on Amazon. Price? $1.99 plus $5 s+h.

(Yes, I think jumping spiders are cute. Sue me... :-P They wash their feet like cats. All 8 of them. It made me squee. :-)
