FIrst day of vacation: Bountiful Lake

Yesterday we found a pretty area to walk around that turned out to be a water-filled clay pit between the town landfill and sewerage areas. This dragonfly hunts at Bountiful Lake, a man-made body of water in Bountiful Utah, just a few miles north of Salt Lake City. Town engineers four years ago decided to solve a runoff problem by diverting two creeks into a clay pit.
