I figured if I'm not really even breaking through the snow, I'm probably not going to break through the ice.





He always has to come over and check me out. I think if he had antlers, he would have put me in the hospital by now.



We added a new feature to the great horned owl cage:

Nothing blooming yet, but the temps have been in the 40's and 50' during the day so I can't complain. Yesterday a co-worker said "It's cold out!" and I thought the temperature must have dropped drastically and replied "It is?". He said "it's thrity eight degrees!" in a tone normally reserved for "the ship has hit an iceberg!"

Next week it's supposed to get up to the sixties.
